Amanda is a huge Harry Potter fan. I resisted getting sucked in to the craze, but when we were traveling across America a few months ago, we wound up listening to the first three books on tape, and I was hooked.
And yes. I said tape. That’s how we roll.
So when Milind Shah got in touch with me about promoting the Harry Potter Movie Fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, I knew who to spotlight for today’s assignment.
Here’s how it works: If you’re going to see Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince when it opens, Milind wants you to donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network. Of course, you don’t have to wait if you want to make your donation, you can visit the Children’s Miracle Network donation page here to donate your $1. The idea here is that if all of the Harry Potter movie goers donate, they can raise a significant amount of money for the Children’s Miracle Network.
Amanda and I will be donating when we see the film, and I hope you will do the same. You can follow the fund’s progress on Twitter @HarryPotterFund and visit the official Harry Potter Movie Fundraiser website to learn more about this wonderful project.
If you have suggestions or comments to help Milind promote the campaign, please leave them in the comment section below.
In the future, we will make this a regular feature on SBI, so let me know what you think and how I can improve the reader spotlight. Until tomorrow, why don’t you visit the fundraiser’s website?
