The following is part one of a presentation I gave at Marist College in March of 2009. The presentation, A National Story Of Minor Significance, was meant to share what Amanda and I learned after completing our cancer prevention project.
The presentation was chopped up into five minute segments for easier viewing.
Part 2 next Sunday.
Director’s Commentary
-Out of the other parts, this one is the worst, so stick with me as you need to see part one to know what I’m talking about.
-I have done many presentations before, but this was the first recorded on video, so I was a bit nervous.
Tips from Part One:
-Make friends now (build your network). When your time comes to start a project, they will be the only ones you can count on to help you.
-Use what you have. So many people wait to get their project started and the waiting causes it to never happen. Start now and improve as you go. It’s a cliche, but it’s a cliche for a reason: “Everything is in beta”.
