No bullshit social publishing news and opinions. Follow Brandon.
You don’t need to be everywhere to be a great social publisher. Find one (or two) platforms, and be the best you can on that platform.
Before we get into embedding Fanboxes on your website, integrating Facebook connet for comments, or just creating an awesome Facebook Page, we need to set one up.
Set Up A Facebook Page In Five Easy Steps
1. At The Bottom Of Your News Feed, Click “Advertise”
2. On The Next Page Click “Pages”
3. Click The Big Green Button That Says “Create A Page”
Don’t forget to bookmark the “Manage Your Existing Pages” link for easy access later.
4. Pick The Appropriate Category And Sign Your Name
You don’t need your full name, as I found out. Just use your first and last name to sign the form.
5. You Have Now Set Up A Facebook Page
Now that we have this set, we can talk customization and embedding. Get a picture up as soon as possible and start filling out your information. If you bookmarked the Facebook Page manager, this will be much easier and faster to do.
What should you fill out? Take a look at my Facebook page for an example.
And once you’re all set, make sure to subscribe to the official Facebook blog for updates reguarding Facebook Pages.
