You know me, I’m not out to draw attention to myself … unless it moves A Million High Fives forward. Then slap me in a Gorilla suit and send me running around downtown Denver.
But, I thought this was really funny. Click on the image below to see the Times Union / CBS WRGB exchange:
I’m not going to lie, that was pretty awesome, and I hope it gives us some nice momentum in time for Business Card Build-Off, which begins September 1st. Business Card Build-Off is how we fund A Million High Fives (remember: We’re not a not-for-profit, so we have to sell something in order to use the profits of that sale to fund our projects.)
I wish my grandparents were around to see all of this. They were my heroes. My parents remain unimpressed. I was out in LA to appear on a talk show (highlights here), and their response was, “That’s nice, but when will you be on Leno?”
A Special Thank You
In all seriousness. I’d like to thank @humbearto (the TU reporter who wrote the story) @timesunion for running the story, @cbs6albany and @CBS6_JerryG for picking up the story, and @ungrounds for letting CBS film the segment there. That was my first time to Uncommon Grounds (on Western Avenue just after the UAlbany campus entrance) and I loved the coffee.
And of course, a special thank you to all of you for following me. It’s a cliche, but in our case it’s the truth, we can’t do this project without you. I’m thankful for each of the followers I have and for your support.
